Chewie, I'd not seen your B-Series page before... Kind words, thank you.

PAW told me about the top spreader, odd issue, I haven't seen that on any of the Kymeras I've come across.
The leading edges should be fairly straight from nose to wing tip, slight bend nearer to the tip (due to wing tip tensioning).
Glad you've got it sorted though, have fun!

It's a standard color set, your favorite shop should be able to get them.

There are some home-built Rev style kites here in USA, but they're not common.
It's not discouraged here, just not a lot of Rev-nuts making their own kites.
Some of the ones made, often end up being added to the official masterpiece collection (like Eliot Shook's weave).
Search for "jimi hendrix Revolution", you might find a cool example of a DIY.

It is a really gorgeous kite PAW, stunning graphic.

My wife TK always tells me I'm a simple yo yo.

I hope you enjoy the Kymera as much as I have...
It's not another $300 item or meant to compete with some of the trick-monsters that are out there (Black Pearl, Fearless, etc, etc)... I wanted a more "old school" (track and drive) kite that could pull off some good tricks too, at a good price.
Up side, every single Kymera I've flown from someone else's bag flies exactly like mine, right out of the bag, no adjustments.
Cheers, have fun, share that fun!

Hi guys, thanks for the ongoing interest in the B-Series.
I've been following this thread non-stop but it's been a while since I've posted here (had trouble with my login), and I just wanted to say hello.
As most of you know, we've had problems with the B-Series being copied for commercial sales from China, so I have a bit of distaste in my mouth on the whole subject... However on the other hand, I also appreciate folks' interest in flying something they made (personal use - not for sale).
However, I have to ask... Why not make it 100% original graphic?
Not prompting a fight, just bringing it up for discussion.

Some new videos, with the B-Series Pro.

Darn! Just posted a reply, but managed to delete it by mistake.
Here goes again...
Thanks to Google translation, out of the most recent posts here all I could get was something about a naked wolf in a bathtub using thin handles... Huh?
No, just kidding!
Seriously, very interesting reading, both the positive and the negative...
Thanks to all! :H:

The video was filmed 1 day after we wrote the routine, still learning it.

Thanks Chewie. <grin>
Sorry, I have no comparison information for Skyshark versus Rev rods...
Everything else I've tried is too flexible for my taste, I use Rev rods exclusively.
This is due to personal preference, not any imposed loyalty.

Hi folks, with our upcoming trip to the UK, we wanted to try and make some time for a hands on Rev Clinic while we're visiting... We've finally got the details together, and we're ready to go!
http://uk.revclinic.com
(all proceeds go to our travel fund)I know Monday and Tuesday are tough days, and not everyone will be able to make it, but it's what we had to work with... We're looking forward to meeting up with as many of you as possible, and to a killer pair of events with Portsmouth and Bristol!
Thanks, and good winds.

We used a rig designed by harrier, a fellow on the US and UK forums.
As for the video quality, it's really important... When things are moving around so much, poor quality video would really defeat the pleasure I think.

A heavy one... 129.5 grams, my Samsung L60.

Here's the aerial "RevCam" video iQuad shot this weekend at the 2007 Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon, WA...

A larger version is also available...

Thanks to Bruce (harrier) for the camera rig, and to my teammates, for not flying up my butt during filming. <grin>
