I have a homebuild wren with teh LE and the lower spreaders 3mm spars. I never flew an original wren. But they told me my kite flew better than the original.

I looked up the plans and was wondering what I chanced. Can't remember exactly. But I believe it was something llike this:
So, as you can see I only changed the middle and the lower panel. a bit. Result is that the trailing edge is more tensioned. Beside that I removed the Y-line. I believe that were the only changes.
If there are more questions I 'd like too hear.

Of course I want to. The more people know the better. I just have to look it up. Will be back on it later.

Yes there is a difference. I made them both. The first one I build was the white following the plans. The second one, the black one I adjusted the plans slightly. The panel at the bottom and the panel in the middle had a little curve. So the fabric has more tension at the edge from the trailing edge (wingtips -> spine) In my opinion it flies better. That's the only difference.

Here at Vimeo you can find a video of the UN from last Sunday editted and filmed by Kareloh. Extremely short lines, but a lot of fun. In a couple of weeks I'll try it indoors...

And the next one has been born...
It's a scaled telica (0.90) a(n) (S)UL
The specs:
LE P90
LS 3PT
spine p100
US 5mm structil
185 grams without the extra weight set.I didn't test it yet because of the wind. As soon as I 've tried it I will write a mini review... but first I have to print the templates!
The next project is a full size Telica, maybe without the winglets. Are there already people who tried the T. without the winglets? I am very curious.

A new Telica movie onine: Telica on youtube
I finished it saterday and tested it today in low winds.
My version:
Scaled to 90%
LE: P100
Spine: P300
LS: PT5
and 25 gr of weight, but I think I'll change it to around 20grThe fabric is the color Orange. It was the only color that I had. So I tried to make this kite to find out if I like it. Conclusion: I will build the large one in my next vacation.

Hello,
I'm planning to build a Telica myself. The panels are already cut and I was looking for some pictures on the "kitesinthesky website" of some details of the nose and thestandoffs etc. But when I was looking for some pictures of the nose I did only see Dacron parts and Mylar. Is that right? How does it hold after some crashes? Is it not getting damaged very fast? I am curious for the construction because I have also tried it on some SUL I built myself but I replaced them all for some heavier fabric. But I think it looks very smooth.
