    Hey Chris,

you might want to add your original (English) posting as well. It's nice you tried to post in German language, but the text is kinda hard to read (although most of it is understandable) :D
e.g. I have no idea what a "führende Armaturen" means in the context of kite building, usually you can find "Armaturen" in your bathroom, a faucet is an "Armatur", same with the "Zaun" (=fence, built around your garden) ;)

Did i got you correct what you are looking for spare parts for your Elliot Mammut?
Especially the rods of 2m length could be very expensive to ship oversea (golf clubs for example ship for around 40$ and are at most 48" (~1,25m) of length). Packages exceeding this length get really expensive.
Perhaps some people here know shops in the US where you can order some of these parts, people in the US do build kites as well I guess :H:

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome to the forum!
Deepy is right, you might consider posting in english, since the automatic translation is pretty crappy. Although this is a german forum, the most of us speak english too.

Regarding your question: For carbon rods and tubes you could try here: http://www.cstsales.com/
They are the US distributor for DPP carbon. Although there should be a lot companies in the US also beeing in carbon pultrusion.

For parts like end nocks or Center-T's you might try a shop like http://www.kitesandfunthings.com/
Most german kite shops don't ship to the US because of the ridiculous shipping costs especially for bigger packets. But also most of them are very friendly and dedicated, so they might ship smaller spare parts also to the US if you give them a friendly call.
Special spare parts for Eliott kites might be available at Eliott directly: http://www.elliot.de/hp_e/index.html

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers, Roland

    Viele Grüße,

Thanks for the quick responses guys.

    Deepy:

OK, English it is. Five years of German in high school many years ago doesn't seem to help me here anyway. Yes , I am looking, actually for a close friend, for parts for his Elliot Mammut. The original carbon rods are a true 9mm ID - 12mm OD, and the upper leading edge is 191.5cm long in one piece. We could ferrule the upper leading edge from something shorter I know, but if we want to keep the existing aluminum ferrule on the leading edge, between the upper and lower leading edges, we definitely need the 12mm material. .5" material will not fit that ferrule. Here in the US I have found many suppliers for a true .5" OD material, but that is too large. Yes, I know that shipping may be very expensive, but I think my friend may be willing to pay to keep the kite original. Yes, we know many builders in the US, but so far have not found one with this size spar in stock.

    Roland:

Thanks, I will try to reach CST Sales on Monday of next week. Their website only lists .5" OD material though. We'll see. We've got some good suppliers for part and pieces that we use on a regular basis. It's the parts that are never brought into this country that are difficult to acquire. I'm sure that on your side of the world things are somewhat the same. I have been in contact with Elliot, have gotten a quick response asking my address, and am waiting to see if they have the parts in stock. Then it's time to find out what shipping may cost. I know that my friend is also asking about leading edge fittings, center Ts, and possibly a replacement bridle. Given the size of these fittings I felt for sure that they would have to come from Elliot directly, unless someone knew a shop in your country that may have those things lying around from back when the Mammut was made.

Again, thanks guys for any info. that you may be able to pass my way.

    Regards,
