Hi,

sorry if this has been addressed in other threads - I've tried to read as much as possible but my german is not very good ;) Are the Tiger II and Cougar (Long duong) commercially available? What is the fastest speedkite commercially available? Are most of the top speedkites built by kitemakers themselvese and not store bought. I don't know many of the names of the kites and they hardly turn up on Google (not for sale anyway)

    Cheers, Gos

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply - I'll check this out. I wonder why speedkiting is so popular in germany? It doesn't seem to this popular anywhere else in the world - I guess it's only been around for a few years :)

    Cheers, Gos

    Hi Gos,

Actually you got it wrong :-). It's been around for some time now. The French kept the flag high and while Speedkiting in Germany and the rest of the world was more or less dead they held contests from time to time. This changed when we picked up the idea of a German contest in the year 2005. The first German contest was then held in May 2008 and the second in April 2009.
The next big (European) contest will be in held in Étretat / France in September 2009.

At our homepagehttp://www.speedkiting.eu you can also check out the history of Speedkiting and how it came to be. It's in German, but you can you an online translator if you want.

Please feel free to ask any additional questions you might have in this respect.

    fair winds,
