I built the new 3-Point Bridle by SkyForce, cause I didn't like the Turbobridle at all, I hope that I could test it the next days. With the org. Turbobridle the Asmara did very big turns, so I got some crashes cause I can't turn the kite quick enough from ground, if I flow near the Ground and it became too near. And in light winds the Turbobridle gave not enough response.
But I think you'll get much fun with the Asmara, it's a really nice Kite.
I'll be trying the new 3-point bridle this weekend too (if the weather permits).
Just a quick question: When your Asmaras are standing on the ground - what is the distance from the spine end to the ground ? -On mine there is only a few cm and when I let the nose tilt forwards (like in a Flap jack) the spine end will touch the ground.
Morten
Great - reply from 'le constructeur' himself! Thanks Skyforce.
It's not a problem at all - in fact I learned to do flapjacks a few weeks ago, because Le Asmara does them so well I just wanted to be sure mine was right...
BTW. how does the new 3-point bridle differ from the previous turbo ?
Morten
Koebi, you fly great too... :H:
With Nicolas, we found you have a pretty style of flying...
we see you flying your Asmara "The Wall" ... send me a pic of this one I found it very nice
My Asmara is finished.
Not as nice as I would like to :-/ (sailtensioning on left LE , is not so nice), but in fact that is my own fault. I have tried some new sewing techniques but i dislike the results a bit.
I will try to fly the Asmara this week. When I like the way it's flying I'm build a new one using my old sewing techniques. :-O
Greetings John
nice colors, have you the High resolution pictures??? send them to my by mail skyforce@bluewin.ch
and unfortunatly, I broke the wiskers on my Telica this weekend, so no test were possible(why didn't I take 3mm carbon rods with me :-/ )
And a little bit too much wind too, I really need to build a vented version...
Is the Asmara vented as good as the standard??? Or can I work on one vented version???
@John
very nice colors, much fun with the Asmara :-O
Why did you take GFK for the outer Standoffs?
@Skyforce
Don't you remember? Always take a towel and 3mm Carbon with you :-O
In these days I think we all need vented Kites, high winds in Northern Germany, South Germany, Swiss, seems a very windy April;)
I took the GFK just because i had no 3mm carbon left in my sparebag :-O
Will change it soon
These were my first thoughts :-O
ZitatKoebi, you fly great too...
THANKS
ZitatAsmara "The Wall"
This one?
"The Wall" with one stand-off and without a bridle.
Ok here a little history about this kite:
At the beginning I wanted to make something like an „Asmara Evo“... So first, I changed the shape a little bit, then more, more and even more, after that I designed a new bridle, later I changed the position of the Standoffs and the lenghts of nearly all rods... now I achieved a point where I don’t longer know if it is still something like an Asmara or already a totally new kite (?) Also because I call him often not Asmara but „Enigma Publius“
Probably I will make a public plan of this kite in the near future, but at the moment I’m still not totally happy with this kite (I think I will try some other changes and probably first built a se-cond Proto).
(sorry for my bad English, but it’s not my original language)

@koebi
ist das der Proto, von dem du schonmal erzählt hast? Wäre ja ne spannende Sache
@SkyForce
please write in english, the translationtool you are using is, sorry, horrible (like my english). And I think, that everybody speaks a little english, so it seams to me the best way for conversation.
Is your last posting related to the Asmara vented or the Telica Proto?
best regards, Christoph
Babelfish is a genius, but nobody could understand the meaning........... :-O
I didn't know, that you've been flying "The Wall" and now I'm not wondered that it flow great in higher winds.
Usually walls only fly in tornados or something....
The last days we've got higher winds here too, and the Asmara liked it very much, so I think a vented version will work pretty fine.
