Asmara-Der neue von Skyforce

    @ Morten DK

If jou move central -t 52cm at nose you must cut lower spreader shorter to 74 cm.
Lower spreder connectors 90.5cm at nose.
    Outer standoff shorter 5mm. = 27mm.
And Asmara yo -yo `s like magic.

    Learning to fly :)

Hmmm...My lower spreaders are already 74cm... Maybe I'll just cut them to 73,5 and see what happens. I just meassured the distance from wingtip to wingtip = 243cm -doesn't the plan say 238cm ?? What do you have ?

    ;) Morten

    HI,
My Asmara measures from WT to WT exact 240cm
My UQS are exactly 74 cm
Centre T is positioned at 52 cm from Nose
Lower Spreaders are positioned at 90,05 cm from nose
The clear measure between Sail and UQS at the inner Standoff is 27,5 cm
The clear measure between Sail and UQS at the outer Standoff is 28,5 cm

    and here are some pics

Looks like it's more or less the same - I'll keep it as it is for now, and see how it flies.

Thank you VERY much for the trouble ;)

    HI,
I think your StandOffs are not exactly 90° to the lower spreaders, if you position them a little more to the LE the bow will become a little straighter.

But I think your "Asmazko" looks pretty fine :H: :H: :H:

And now I wish 2-3 Bft to you and have a lot of fun :-O

Das Nazko-Design ist immer wieder einfach nur Zucker :H: :H: :H: Ob nun am Nazko oder am Asmara

    Wissen ist Nacht!

Eines der gefährlichsten Geräusche, die man machen kann, ist laut denken.

for me, the curve is too important...
change the length of the lower spreaders, or try this first:
untight the loops at the wingtips, maybe it'll help

but yo can try to fly like this and it could be a good kite too

And don't forget to send me all the pics you have of Nazko and/or Asmara
    Minimum resolution: 800pixels * 800pixels

for the two on this page, yes...

but try to fly before, maybe it work great... since I didn't try the kite, I can't say if it's good or not...
If you think it fly great, don't change anything that's my advice...

that is the reason why I cut a little bit the lower spreaders, and try to untight a little the tensioner at the wing tips

    Merci bièn,
now I know what to do ;)
I tensioned the sail hard, using a piece of bridlecord instead of a rubbercord.
So I cut the P300 to 73,5cm and untight the tensioner a little or use a rubbercord.

Are there any Asmara plans in Nazko design??? After building two Nazko's (100% and 85%) I am realy in love :) with this design.
Already looked at Skyforces website but can't find any

    Greetings John

there is no asmara plan with the design of the nazko, but you can easely adapt the design, you just have to respect the proportions...

My Asmara UL has also this "curved spreaders" (P200) and it flies great without any damages up to now.

Hmmm, but it is strange that the shape of Skyforce's lower spreader is different from mine, Koebi's and Christoph's considering that we have used the same plan and that we apparently are using the same length of rods ??? I'm just affraid that if I shorten the LS, the fittings will have to move further up the LE and the cut-outs will no longer fit... On the other hand, a LS that is so bend will be more likely to break during e.g. a hard spike :O

Skyforce, are you sure that your LS are 74 cm and what is the length of your stand-offs when mounted on the kite (sail to end of endcap) ? Could I pursuade you to take out the meassuring tape ? :D

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards
