Leveloneflyer - FlyKites - Funtastik FR

    Martin hat vor gut zwei Monaten, ein wie ich finde, sehr schönes Video veröffentlich. Sein bevorzugter Flugstil, ist sehr gut zu erkennen und der Kite, dürfte zumindest bei uns, doch recht unbekannt sein. Ich kannte ihn definitiv nicht und fand es sehr interessant, was er mir vor einiger Zeit, über den Kite geschrieben hat. Genießt es :)

    Floaty flying, ist sein bevorzugter Flugstil. Ist beim Video vom Pumbaa XSLW sehr schön zu sehen.


    Beim dem Video vom Funtastik, spielt er aber sehr schön zwischen sehr langsamen, schwebenden und schneller geflogen Tricks. Vermutlich deswegen, hat er bei dem Video im Titel auch Floaty fun flying geschrieben.


    Die Art zu fliegen, gefällt mir bei Martin mega gut. Das live zu sehen, mach noch mehr Laune.

    Hab mal bei Martin nachgefragt. Er konnte mir dazu, leider auch nichts sagen. Die Tage, will er sich mal bei Kostaa erkundigen.

    The Funtastik FR (FR = Full-Wind-Range) is some kind of "UL" kite which gives the sensation of instantly switching from SUL to STD when the wind changes. It flies in very low wind and can survive 40+ km / h gusts..... keeping the useful, "comfort zone" for tricks quite wide. It is designed to fly in "in land", unstable winds and performs some tricks like backspins better when the wind is not that constant. Of course, flying on the beach with long lines reveals the full precision potential of the kite. The combination of sail materials (ultra-light Ripstop nylon + Icarex), geometry (deep profile) and bridle configuration helps the effective absorption of short, random gusts & turbulence. The kite has reduced acceleration on the peaks / gusts. The overall control of the flying speed is impressive.
    I don't categorize it as a "full Freestyle kite" but it has helped me a lot to develop and improve my Style & tricks. With the Funtastik FR I learned everything from the beginning - again. It's fun to do basic tricks with extreme precision, control, style and feedback. But it's also Fun to explore New stuffs...
    Funtastik FR has unique, highly controlled downwind gliding in low wind. The combination of all these flying characteristics give the opportunity to discover and develop new stunt tricks and moves, as you can see in some of the videos.

    6, 5 and 4mm..... Structil + something with the same performance. So, it's lighter and muuuch more durable than Exel and most pultruded carbons.
